The Order of X – Lady Grey
Phoenix – Lady Jehanne Grey

Lady Jehanne hails from the noble family of Grey. Despite her nobility she was considered a bit of a tomboy growing up. Her carefree manners stirred antipathy among peers, but once she developed unnatural abilities, her family feared the worse. Lord Xavier offered the Grey’s a solution to provide her with guidance and protection to which they reluctantly accepted.
Despite Lady Grey’s nobility, she refused nothing short of being in the midst of battle to fight for the suffering and oppressed. With her telepathic and telekinetic abilities, she became a formidable archer. Her arrows flew further and surer than anyone else and never missed their mark. When lit afire; the arrows burned intensely. This lead some to say her arrows were guided by a magical phoenix. After may battles she eventually earned the name Phoenix. Her unyielding temperament and fierce red hair didn’t help either.
(Personal notes) In older comics and cartoons Jean Grey seemed almost like a second-hand member of the x-men. (Until she turned into the Phoenix of course.) I liked the idea of making her a stronger character, maybe even a leader. Lord Xavier would surely see the potential in her ability and combine it with archery and maybe even gain tactical information from enemies through telepathy. There might also be an interesting chemistry and dichotomy between calm/blind Scott and a fervent Jehanne Grey.
